Welcome to the Studio.
I have the luxury to work in my home studio where you can find me in my happy place throwing vessels with stoneware clay on the potter's wheel. I also enjoy hand-building larger pots and bowls from time to time. My work is finished with food-safe glazes (when necessary) and then fired in an electric kiln that reaches temperatures upwards of 2200 degrees Fahrenheit.
My work is functional in nature and ranges from dinnerware to home decor goods.
It has variable characteristics as I embrace chasing new ideas whether in form, function or surface design over monotony.
Craft makes our homes more human.

What is "hygge?"
Hygge is a Danish and Norwegian word that describes a cozy, contented mood, evoked by comfort and conviviality. The word is thought to derive from Old Norse words for: soul, mind, to consider, consciousness, to comfort, mood.
The intention of my art is to create more hygge energy in the world.
In my soul, I believe hygge is just surface design, spiritual bypassing if you will, if it isn't accompanied with effort towards the collective liberation of humanity. My art, whether it's the pottery I create, the words I write, or the small garden I grow, is connected to the communal project of envisioning and creating a world in which I want all children to live.
Please see the Collective Liberation page for more details.
