Humbly drawing on the teachings of black and indigenous women from around the globe, Nicole strives to continually unlearn and divest from systems of oppression. To that end, a portion of all proceeds goes back to community in the form of mutual aid and non profit contributions.

Additionally, Hygge Handmade Designs has a collection of work - "for Collective Liberation" in which 50% of the profits are shared with Secrets2Truths, a private non-profit 501(c)(3) located in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Secrets2Truths, lead by Marea Perry, works to "normalize and develop a culture for black women, families and communities until we no longer have trauma and oppression to heal from."
